My current interests centre around film practice, architecture on film and the means by which expressive space is configured in film and television.
In 2021 I completed a practice-led PhD at the University of Reading. I engaged with the creative practice of videographic essay-making as part of my investigation.
I am currently developing this thesis into a book, which will be published by Palgrave as part of their 'Close Readings in Film and Television' series.
I continue to make video essays as part of my creative and academic practice.
I have made several short films, two of which have won awards. I have also curated film festivals.
Alongside my work in film I have performed and directed in theatre, with a particular interest in telling stories through shadow theatre, puppetry and opera.
I have a BA in Drama from the University of Manchester and an MA in Film from the University of Westminster.regnidar.mapsuatromesiuol
